How do I use the Dasseti Engage Add-ins?

Overview

Dasseti Engage Add-ins extend Dasseti functionality directly into Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and supported web browsers.

The add-ins allow users to search existing content, insert answers into questionnaires, update Q&A Bank records, and create activity records without leaving the application they are working in.

Note: Installation and availability of the add-ins may be controlled by your organization's IT team

Access the Add-in

After opening the Dasseti Add-in, you will be presented with the main navigation screen.

The options available depend on the application you are using.

For Microsoft Word, Excel, and Browser Extension Available options include:

• Q&A Bank

Microsoft Outlook

In addition to Smart Search and Q&A Bank, the Outlook Add-in includes options for managing emails and activities.

Use Smart Search

Smart Search allows users to search across both the Q&A Bank and historical Requests directly from the add-in.

This feature is particularly useful when completing questionnaires, responding to due diligence requests, or searching for previously approved content.

Search results can be filtered by:

• Company
• Product
• Request
• Request Review Status
• Q&A Bank Review Status
• Question Tags
• Answer Tags

Results can also be sorted using Semantic Match to help surface the most relevant content.

When completing a questionnaire, users can search for existing answers and insert them directly into the document.

The Smart Search page also includes advanced filters to help narrow results and locate the most relevant content.

Add to the the QA Bank

The QA Bank option allows users to add new content directly from Word, Excel, Outlook, or the Browser Extension into the QA Bank.

Users can:

• Create new Q&A Bank records
• Add Question & Answer Tags
• Add or update Answer Tags

Use More Actions

The More Actions menu provides access to additional functionality within the add-in.

Examples include:

• Save As Template
• Create New Company
• Create New Product

The options displayed may vary depending on the application being used and the permissions assigned to the user.

Additional Outlook Features

The Outlook Add-in includes functionality that is not available in the Word, Excel, or Browser Extension add-ins.

1. Save Emails

   The Email option allows users to save emails directly into Dasseti. Associated email attachments can also be included as part of the saved record.
    

2. Create Activities

   Activities can be:

   1. Assigned to a user
   2. Associated with a Company
   3. Associated with a Product
   4. Used to track follow-up actions
