What is the autofill function and how do I use it?

Dasseti ENGAGE’s AI-powered Autofill feature accelerates questionnaire completion by applying best-match responses across selected questions, sections, or entire requests. Instead of requiring manual selection for each question, Autofill uses Dasseti’s matching logic to populate responses in bulk — enabling teams to generate a structured first draft efficiently while retaining full control through review and editing.

Because Autofill applies matches automatically, it is designed to assist with initial drafting, not as a substitute for subject-matter review. Populated responses should always be reviewed and edited to confirm accuracy and context before submission.

How Autofill Differs from Smart Search

Autofill and Smart Search are complementary tools within Dasseti ENGAGE, but they serve different purposes:

• Smart Search displays several potential responses at the individual question level, allowing users to manually select the most appropriate answer.

• Autofill, by contrast, automatically applies the top-matching response across all selected questions, sections, or an entire questionnaire based on Dasseti’s internal matching criteria.

This makes Autofill faster for broad population, while Smart Search provides finer control when precision is critical.

How to Use the Autofill Function

1. Access the Request: Open the specific request you are working on in Dasseti ENGAGE.
   
   

2. Select Scope
   Choose the portion of the request you want to run Autofill on. You may select a single question, a specific section, or the entire questionnaire.

3. Locate the Autofill Option and choose a source

   Click the Autofill button in the top-right corner of the request. Two options will appear in the dropdown:
   
   

4. Autofill from Library uses content already stored within Dasseti (for example, from your Q/A Bank or previous requests). You will be prompted to apply filters before running Autofill.
   
5. Autofill with Smart Docs allows you to drag and drop documents — either from your local drive or your Dasseti Document Library — which Dasseti scans to identify and apply relevant content
   
   
6. Execute Autofill: Once your parameters are set, click the Autofill button. The function will run through the entire questionnaire, populating responses where applicable.
   
   

7. Review and Override: After Autofill completes, review the populated responses. You can override any responses that you wish to modify or input manually.
