Using Smart Search in the Platform (In-App)

1. Access Smart Search
   • Navigate to the Requests module within the platform.
   • Locate and open the Smart Search toolbar.
     
      
2. Apply Filters
   • Refine your search by selecting from the following filters:
     • Specific Company: How are Companies linked to content on the platform?
     • Product(s): How are Products linked to content on the platform?
     • Review Status: How do I assign and review Q/A Bank items?
     • Question Tags, Answer Tags: How do I add tags to Q/A Bank items?
     • Q/A Bank Types/ Sub-Types (Folders and Sub Folders)
       
3. Adjust the Rating Cut-Off (Optional)
   • Use the slider to adjust the 'Similarity Cut Off' for search results. This allows you to control how closely results match your query.
      
4. Select and Insert Answers
   • Review search results, which display details such as:
     • Location: The Q/A Bank folder or associated Request name.
     • Review Status: Indicating if the answer has been reviewed and by whom.
     • Last Modified By: The person who last updated the item.
   • Select the desired answer and insert it into the Request or document.
   • If the answer is not there, you can run another smart search and adjust the filter by clicking the 'Smart Search' icon located at the bottom of the box.

 

Using Smart Search with the Engage Add-Ins (Chrome, Word, Excel)

1. Open the Dasseti Plugin
   • From Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, or Excel, open the Dasseti Engage plugin.
      
2. Search for a Question
   • You can either:
     • Highlight the question in your document.
     • Or, type the question manually into the search bar in the plugin.
        
3. Apply Filters
   • Just like in the platform, you’ll have access to the same filter options, including:
     • Question Bank or Requests (or Both)
     • Specific Company
     • Products
     • Tags (Question or Answer)
     • Q/A Bank Types/Sub-Types
     • Similarity Cut-Off slider
        
4. Review and Select Answers
   • The plugin replicates the full Smart Search experience outside of the Dasseti platform, providing seamless access to the Q/A Bank and previous Requests.
      
   • Suggested answers will include:
     • Location (e.g., Q/A Bank folder or Request name)
     • Review Status and Last Reviewed By details
     • Last Modified By details
        
5. Insert the Answer
   • Select the desired answer, and the plugin will allow you to insert it directly into your document where your cursor is placed.
