Overview
Use Smart Upload to create a Request by importing and structuring a questionnaire document.
Start with a clean, well-structured document to ensure the best results during Smart Upload. When creating the Request, use a consistent and logical naming convention to support organization and long-term reference.
Once uploaded, work through the document top-down, beginning with Sections and progressing through sub-sections, questions, and answers using the Smart buttons.
After structuring, review the content to ensure accuracy, proper grouping, and relevance of any matched answers. Addressing issues at this stage helps avoid rework and keeps the Request clean and organized.

Before You Begin
Smart Upload does not process PDFs directly. Converting a PDF to Word can introduce formatting issues, so use the original Word file where possible.
Step 1: Check the Companies List
- Navigate to the Companies module.
- Search for the company associated with the Request.
-
Confirm whether the company already exists.
Best Practice
Always search thoroughly before creating a new company record. Duplicate company entries can make reporting and record management more difficult over time.
Step 2: Create the Company (If Required)

How Do I Use the SMART Upload Feature to Import Requests and Q/A Bank Items in Dasseti Engage?

- Start with Sections – use Smart Section
- Then Smart Sections (if applicable)
- Then Sub-sections (if applicable)
- Then Questions
-
Then Answers (if applicable)

Once you’ve selected the appropriate option, the platform will automatically scan the document and identify other similar elements based on the section you’re working with (e.g., sections
, sub-sections
, questions
, or answers
).
Step 6: Review Structured Content
Take a few minutes to review the content to ensure accuracy and completeness. This saves time later in the process.
